December 2024 Updates
Tuesday, December 10, 2024: We finished designing the crochet plushies of our mascot chicken over the weekend. They are handmade with love :) and they will be included in some of our Kickstarter rewards tiers. These plushies take quite some time to make, so they will be limited in quantity, I'm thinking to add a tag on them so that they are numbered. We are working on our social media presence and more chicken/non-chicken cards! Hope they are goofy and cute enough!
November 2024 Updates
Monday, November 25, 2024: What an exciting weekend! We ran around the valley yesterday to try and drop off some prototypes of Chicken in the Kitchen, we stopped first over at Wii Play Games. They were disappointed to tell us that they had recently removed all their table playing area, but they were friendly and gave us a list of other shops to stop by. We then went over to the MeepleVille Board Game Cafe, grabbed a sodi-pop and a coffee, and they were really happy to give us a quick tour and take our prototypes to their game shelves! Hopefully someone tries them out!! And then finally we ran over to Shall we Play, quite a treck out into the Northwest part of the valley, and they also accepted a couple of our games! We playtested a short bit with the owner and there was even a young lad who came by showing a lot of interest. Exciting stuff coming up!
Friday, November 22, 2024: We have really stated hitting the ground running this month, going from a prototype hand-drawn version of the game that we have enjoyed playing ourselves at home many nights, to putting together printed physical prototypes for local playtesting, making a printable PDF version and publishing it, and launching the company and our website! Still, we have much more to come this month. We are planning to record some videos showing gameplay and we still need to drive around the valley to drop off some prototypes. Hopefully we will find some players to playtest with while we are out and about!
